The 1000 Islands region has some of the most spectacular views and beautiful waterways in New York. Now you can rent your own private island to give you a stay like no other.

Imagine having a whole island to yourself, or for you and a group of friends or family. You can soak up all the beautiful views, explore the island and the waterways surrounding it, and you don't have to share. Imagine having no neighbors to tell you turn down the music, or you not having to yell at your neighbors for being too loud. You can make this beautiful dream a reality - There are private islands you can rent for a little summer getaway.

Whiskey Island Lodge

This island is perfect for a group of friends or family, seeing as it accommodates 15 people comfortably. The island includes a main lodge, a two-bedroom cottage, a swim deck, a boathouse, and more. The main lodge is where you'll find the kitchen, a family room for everyone to hangout in, along with eight other bedrooms and four bathrooms. Now, a stay on this island isn't the cheapest (that's why it may be better to go with a group of friends - They can help cover the cost). According to PrivateIslandsOnline,

Whiskey Island Lodge offers a 7 day and 7 night rental for $8,500, or a nightly rate of $1,250 for a minimum of 4 nights. A $1000 deposit will secure your dates (non-refundable) and you can request housekeeping services for an additional fee.

But to have an island all to yourself - with all the swimming, fishing, boating, and relaxing you could possibly want - The cost doesn't feel too bad. Plus if you're splitting it ten or 15 ways - That's not too bad either. You can see pictures of Whiskey Island Lodge, and get more information here.

Watch Island

Are you ready for your own private slice of heaven? You'll get it at Watch Island - which you can not only rent but if you love it so much, it is for sale. This island includes a beautiful Victorian home and a boathouse (what more do you need). The house is huge - The dining room has enough space to sit more than 16 people. Plus there's a living room complete with a piano and fireplace, a kitchen, and many porches so you can sit and look out at the water. This island is a little cheaper to rent, with prices starting at $500 a night. You can see pictures and get details here.

Little Aubrey Island

This is the last little island we're going to look at - And it holds the least-expensive price tag. Little Aubrey Island is just off of Aubrey Island (they are connected by a bridge). Aubrey Island has camping and trails and usually has quite a few visitors, but this gives you your own private spot away from everything else. The private island includes two cottages complete with a living room, five bedrooms, two bathrooms, and two kitchens - Plus a dock outside for the boat and many, many areas to explore and soak up nature. According to New York Upstate, prices range from $385 to $400 and there is a minimum of a ten-day stay during their peak summer season (which is May 20th through September 10th). You can see some of the amazing pictures of this private island and get more information here.
