New York Gun Owners Warned of Remington Ammunition Recall
Remington has issued a safety recall over some of its ammunition as the use of the product can cause injury to both the user and the firearm.
The ammunition being recalled by Remington is Remington Premier AccuTip Slugs - PRA12. Remington warns not to us 12 gauge premier accutip 2-3/4” Sabot Slug Ammunition. The recall involves ammunition with lot codes L05ZC527, L05ZB527, L06ZB527, and L06ZC527.
You will find the lot code for your Remington ammunition either on the inside flap of the individual box or along the outside of a product case.
Remington says the recall of this ammunition is because it could contain shells with an incorrect propellant and the company warns that use can harm your firearm and your person.

If you are in possession of ammunition from any of the lot codes included in the recall, you should immediately cease using it and reach out to Remington by calling 1-800-243-9700. A member of the Remington Ammunition Consumer Service Department will make arrangements for you to ship your recalled ammunition back to them and then, they will send replacement ammunition to you free of charge.
This is not the first ammunition recall of the new year. According to the New York Daily News, on January 5, the NYPD issued a recall of 9 mm ammunition distributed exclusively to its police officers due to a bad batch of bullets that weren’t firing properly.
The NYPD ammunition recall was placed out of safety for the police officers of the NYPD.
