Punxsutawney Phil Sees Shadow – 6 More Weeks of Winter

Punxsutawney Phil emerged from his hole and saw his shadow this morning forecasting 6 more weeks of winter. I'm not really sure what that means for Central New York considering how mild this winter has been. Here it is February and I have only had my driveway plowed 3 times! 3! I usually have days where the plowman is at my house that many times in 1 day. I for one am enjoying the mild winter. I am not a big fan of cold weather so I am counting my blessings this year. I do feel for those in Central New York who enjoy winter activities like skiing, snowmobiling, skating and surf boarding. I know our friends in Old Forge who count on the winter weather for their business are hurting a little bit. So maybe Phil's forecast is good news for snow lovers and those who depend on it for business.
