BBC viewers in Scotland got a surprise today when none other than Prince Charles delivered a midday weather forecast. It’s good to know that, if life as a royal doesn’t work out, His Highness can always fall back on a career as a meteorologist.

According to the BBC, Charles was visiting the channel’s headquarters in Glasgow when he stepped in front of the camera and delivered a sonorous lunchtime weather report. It wasn’t exactly spontaneous, though, as he read off a script that highlighted royal residences in Scotland.

At one point, Charles joked about what he was reading. “Who the hell wrote this script?,” he asked, as people in the studio burst into laughter.

Watch Charles’ forecast above and prepare to be impressed. Honestly, this guy could read the phone book and make it sound regal.
