Slowly but surely, the signs of spring are starting to surface here in the Mohawk Valley.  One of those signs is a notice on the City Of Rome Police Department's website, that overnight parking will again be allowed in the city.

Overnight parking will be allowed on city streets beginning Saturday, April 1st.  No fooling.  The Rome PD reminds drivers that parking between the curb and the sidewalk, along with blocking a fire hydrant or a sidewalk are still illegal, and those vehicles may be ticketed.

You'll still find many large snowbanks along the streets in Rome, but hopefully they will continue to melt between now and the first.
