Just over 45 years ago, the Beatles told us “there’s nothing you can do that can’t be done” — and it surely felt that way for the fans and competitors in attendance at the Olympics on Saturday (August 4), when the stadium joined together in a massive singalong rendition of ‘All You Need Is Love.’

It was a uniquely British event to cap off a big night for the British Olympic team — one that saw three of their athletes win gold medals in less than 45 minutes. But while it might have been ‘Super Saturday‘ for the home team, the singalong was about more than national pride; it provided a sweet reaffirmation of the message behind some of the best music from one of the world’s biggest bands.

It was a moving moment for a number of those in attendance, including American long-jumper Will Claye, who told the AP that the singers “were awesome for all of us. Not just the British.” Have a listen via the clip embedded below and see if you don’t come away feeling like all you need is love.
