Monday, January 18th is Martin Luther King Jr. Day. To celebrate the day, all parks that are part of the national park service will have no entrance fee. Here's the park's in New York you'll be able to get in for free.

Most parks don't usually have an entrance fee, but there are over 100 that do across America. Here's the one's in New York that usually charge, that you can access for free on Monday:
1) Eleanor Roosevelt National Historic Site
2) Home of Franklin D. Roosevelt National Historic Site
3) Martin Van Buren National Historic Site
4) Sagamore Hill National Historic Site
5) Saratoga National Historical Park
6) Vanderbilt Mansion National Historic Site

 

Other Ways to Enter National Parks for Free

1) If there is a child in your family in the fourth-grade for the 2015-16 academic year, you can get a voucher free entrance to all national parks for the entire family.

2) If you are active military, you can also get a free Military National Park pass.

***It's important to note that while entrance into the parks is free, not all activities within the park are free. Park fees for camping, tours, etc. still usually apply.***
