
Nats Snap Streak, Beat Yankees In 11
Denard Span beat out an infield single that scored the winning run in the top of the 11th inning as the Nationals ended the Yankees' win streak with a 5-4 victory in the Bronx on Wednesday.
The Yankees had won seven straight entering the contest and were headed toward an eighth win before Michael Taylor tied the game with a two-out, two-run homer in the eighth-inning off reliever Jacob Lindgren.
This after the pinstripes sent nine to the plate in their four-run seventh-inning that included six hits.
Nathan Eovaldi yielded three-runs on eight hits and did not factor in the decision.
New York is off on Thursday before opening a series in Baltimore on Friday.
