I love The Beatles, and Sunday night, millions of us will be watching "The Beatles, The Night That Changed America, A Grammy Salute" on CBS, commemorating the Fab Four's first appearance on "The Ed Sullivan Show" 50 years ago. Earlier today, I interviewed music historian George Gimarc on Oldiez 96.1, who had some fascinating inside info about the lads first appearance on that show.

First, here's who George Gimarc is, according to his bio information:

"George Gimarc is an American disc jockey, record and radio program producer and author based in Texas.

Gimarc is the producer of a new documentary (yet to be released) of the Beatles 1964 first US tour. A distribution deal is being sought at the moment. It's got over and hours worth of film presumed lost and now restored and found of the band, their fans and detractors, and the swirling Beatlemania they left in their wake."

If you missed our on-air interview today, listen to it here.
