Meat Loaf fell while taking part in a Q&A session at the Texas Frightmare Weekend in Dallas this past weekend.

He was then taken to the hospital, where he reportedly received treatment for a broken collarbone.

Even though there's been no official word from Meat Loaf or his publicist, TMZ reports that the fall was caused after he reportedly tripped over some wires that were onstage. Eyewitnesses told TMZ that Meat thanked fans before handing over the microphone.

You can see video of the incident below.

The organizers of the Frightmare, a convention for horror-movie fans, issued a statement, noting that they will issue refunds to people who paid for a photo opportunity with the singer.

"As everyone knows, Meat Loaf fell today," the statement, which was posted on Facebook, reads. "We wanted to keep you updated as soon as we knew something. We just found out that the hospital is keeping him overnight for observation. He will not be able to return on Sunday, but he has already confirmed that he will be back in 2020! He's a trooper and we are praying a speedy recovery!"

If reports of the broken collarbone are true, this will be the latest in a long series of health problems for Meat Loaf. Last year, he revealed that back problems had kept him off the road and that he was unable to move without a walker due to numerous surgical procedures.

He also missed the world premiere of a musical based on the songs from Bat Out of Hell, saying, “I don't have any business going out to where all the bars and bands are," he said at the time. "They'd look at me and say, 'Who's the old guy? What's that old guy doing here?' No, man, I don't belong in those places."
