‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ Poster Promises a Lovely Day
It's been a long journey to 'Mad Max: Fury Road,' but with Comic-Con 2014 kicking off this week, we're sure to be seeing a lot from the new installment in the franchise, starring Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron. But until then (and until we finally get a trailer), you can check out an official poster for the film, which makes a promise we don't think it intends to keep.
The first official poster for 'Mad Max: Fury Road' comes courtesy of the movie's official Twitter account. With Comic-Con kicking off tomorrow and the film included in the Warner Bros. panel this Saturday, we don't think it'll be much longer before we see some legit footage.
'Mad Max: Fury Road' is directed by original series helmer George Miller, and based on an idea he conceived back in 2003 for a sequel/spinoff. Here's the official synopsis:
MAD MAX: FURY ROAD is the fourth film of George Miller‘s Road Warrior/Mad Max franchise co-written and directed by Miller. The post-apocalyptic action film is set in the furthest reaches of our planet, in a stark desert landscape where humanity is broken, and most everyone is crazed fighting for the necessities of life.
Within this world of fire and blood exist two rebels on the run who just might be able to restore order… There’s Max (played by TOM HARDY from The Dark Knight Rises), a man of action and a man of few words, who seeks peace of mind following the loss of his wife and child in the aftermath of the chaos.
And… Furiosa (played by CHARLIZE THERON from Prometheus), a woman of action and a woman who believes her path to survival may be achieved if she can make it across the desert back to her childhood homeland.
In addition to Hardy and Theron, the film also stars Rosie Huntington-Whitely, Nicholas Hoult, and Zoe Kravitz, and hits theaters on May 15, 2015. Check out the poster below:
