Local Women Bring Lovable Character To Life

Three local women have been chosen to use their talents and skills to help bring the lovable children’s character, Freddy, to life.

Freddy’s mission is to bring comfort and healing to children by giving them strategies to help work through their fears and create happy and healthy environments for children. Meet the women behind the team:

Jennifer Rust: Jennifer brought her sister, Andrea Abraham Sandock, a local kindergarten teacher, into the project as the author of 4 new Freddy stories. In each of these stories Freddy comes to a child in need and helps them find a way to cope with their fears and anxieties.

Kristin Boutin: was brought into the project as the illustrator of Andrea’s first Freddy Story, Freddy Teaches Confidence.

The team will be celebrating the publication of their first story, Freddy Teaches Confidence, with a story reading and book signing event on Saturday, January 29, at Whims-n-doodles at 11:00.
