Maciol said of Smoulcey, "Truly a guy who served his community and county 24 hours a day. He and his wife are expecting their second child in just a few short weeks."

Smoulcey was also the Fire Chief of the Willowvale Fire Department.

Calling hours and funeral details will be released once they are finalized.
