Little Falls is known for its scenic location along the Erie Canal, and it is the perfect place to welcome this amazing event this summer!

Thanks to the hard work of the Albany Symphony and the Mohawk Valley Center for the Arts (MVCA), Little Falls will be welcoming the "Water Music NY" as one of their stops this summer. This boat trip will feature 32 Albany Symphony musicians traveling by barge, provided by the NYS Canal Corporation, all the way from Albany to Buffalo.

They will be making 7 stops on their way and one of them will be right here in Central New York, and Little Falls will be doing more than just hosting the event. All the communities along the way will partner with a composer that will work with local arts groups, including youth orchestra, community chorus, dance troupe, and more!

"Water Music NY" is scheduled to launch in Albany on July 2nd and stop in Little Falls on July 5th around noon. The symphony will rehearse with local artists for a few hours and entertainment, including music, vendors, crafts, visual arts, and spoken arts will be provided throughout the city. The concert will take place that evening at 8:00 on the barge with possible fireworks afterwards.

For more information and questions how you can take part, please contact the MVCA at 315-823-0808 or director@mohawkvalleyarts.org, or on their Facebook page.
