Your chance to get up-close and personal with a Raptor and a Rex is coming this summer to Syracuse. Life-sized dinosaurs are on the way.

The Milton J. Rubenstein Museum of Science & Technology (MOST), located in Armory Square, right in the heart of downtown Syracuse, will welcome a must-see 3,000 square-foot permanent dinosaur exhibit. Travel back in time to the age of the dinosaurs with Syracuse’s first permanent life-sized dinosaur exhibit, Dino Zone. Yup, the dinosaurs will be here to stay in Central New York.

“This is huge for the Syracuse community, for the MOST as a STEM learning center, and it’s what we do best – the intersection of science, education and fun,” said Lauren Kochian, MOST President.

Many prestigious science museums and centers have a dinosaur offering for guests to experience. This new exhibit will reinforce the MOST’s place as a premier STEM learning institution in the Central New York region for both residents and visitors.

In the last 30 years, the Museum has brought in a visiting Dinomania exhibit on seven occasions, the most recent one concluding in January of 2019. Over the years, it has grown to be the most popular exhibit among visitors of the MOST. Guests will no longer have to wait for the next dinosaur exhibit to arrive, they'll be able to see the giant creatures 24/7.

The dinosaur exhibit grand opening is planned for the evening of Wednesday, July 10, with MOST members, sponsors and donors invited to attend. Opening weekend for the general public will take place Saturday, July 13, and Sunday, July 14.
