Levitt Amp Concert Lineup For Monday, July 22
Here's the FREE Levitt AMP Utica concert lineup for Monday, July 22nd. Pack a picnic, bring a lawn chair and join us for this (free) family-friendly event!
The Levitt AMP Utica Summer Concert Series starts at 6 pm this Monday, in Kopernik Park, located at 317 Genessee Street (the stage is in DeSales parking lot) in Utica. You'll be wowed this week with the following top-notch acts.
Opener: Lillie Ruth
Lillie Ruth is new on the local music scene. She is a recent graduate from New York Mills High School and just turned 18 years old. We welcomed this vocal powerhouse to Levitt last year as an intermission act and now are excited for her to be on stage as an opener so the community can enjoy her immense talent. She took part in the Young Entrepreneur Academy during the 2018-19 school year and started her business, Lillie Ruth Music. She will be accompanied by her dad, guitarist Michael Moffett and her brother Owen on keyboards, along with a couple of special guests!
Intermission Act: Abby James
Abby was chosen as a winner of a collaborative “Utica Teen Sing-Off” event with Handshake.City.
Boulevards from Raleigh, NC
Jamil Rashad, a/k/a Boulevards, is the embodiment of funk. The son of a jazz, soul and R&B radio DJ, Jamil grew up in a house where jazz, blues, R&B, and funk was played constantly, encouraging him to get involved in music at an early age.
Getting an art education in college and trying out different bands along the way, he has finally found his rightful place as a solo act.
Taking queues from pioneers such as Prince, Rick James, and Earth Wind & Fire, Boulevards seamlessly delivers cheeky, party-themed jams that range from raw to soulful – think Eddie Murphy meets The Sugarhill Gang getting everybody on the dance floor! There is no fatigue. Boulevards is a dynamic performer, a true entertainer. In his own words: he brings "party funk jams for the heart and soul to make you move."
We dare you to stay in your chair this summer when Boulevards hits the stage!
