It's a very sad day. Trekkie or not everyone knows of  Mr. Spock from Star Trek. He died this morning at the age of 83 with end-stage chronic obstructive pulmonary disease confirmed by his wife. The pointy-eared Vulcan had his human-alien signature salute and blessing: “Live long and prosper”. RIP

Here is the Jewish story behind Spock and the Vulcan hand shake.

Leonard Nimoy was not only Spock from Star Trek. He was in may other films, a film director, was also a poet, singer and photographer. He served in the United states Army in the 1950's and that is just the beginning. If you research his career you will be amazed at the things he has accomplished. All the awards. All the television shows and movies are amazing.

I always loved his narration of shows and science fiction work.

Rest In Peace Leonard Simon Nimoy
