The National Weather Service of Binghamton has issued a Lake Effect Snow Warning for most of Central New York. The warning is currently underway, and will go until at least Saturday morning.

The counties impacted by the warning include Onondaga, Madison, and Oneida Counties. Heavy bands of snow will dump anywhere from 8-15 inches. A travel advisory has been issued by Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente, and their are snow emergencies in effect for Herkimer, Frankfort, and Utica. Friday will see the most snowfall.
