Happy birthday John Fogerty!!! According to his website 1969 was a very good year for John Fogerty.

His band, Creedence Clearwater Revival, released three landmark albums, hit the Top 5 on the charts with four singles, appeared twice on “The Ed Sullivan Show” and performed at Woodstock and the Atlanta Pop Festival.

At 70 years old he is currently touring and performing Creedence Clearwater Revival songs from 1969. If you remember, The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer refused to play his CCR songs for nearly 30 years. He began again in 1997. John Fogerty's getting rave reviews for his "1969" tour. The closest he gets to Utica is June 24th at Radio City Music Hall in New York. He's also announced an Oct. 6 publication for his autobiography, Fortunate Son: My Life, My Music.

"I'm just being brutally honest," he says. "I'm not trying to shock or surprise anybody; really, I'm just being honest. It's just simply the only way I've been able to exist, anyhow. I don't know any other way, for my own mistakes and certainly mistakes of others, if you want to look at it that way. In the end, human beings, we are what we are. I'm not running for president or anything, so I'm not white-washing the life that I lived."
