Which New York College Is the Top Party School? Top 15 Revealed

Are New York State colleges known for their wild and crazy parties? Here's the top 15 party schools in our great state.

Barstool Sports recently named this New York State college as one of the top partying colleges in America. Which one? Coming in at Number 19, out of a list of 50, Syracuse University ranked in. Syracuse University made it on The Princeton Review's annual ranking of the best party schools in the country too. SU, which was ranked the No. 1 party school in 2019 and 2014, has made The Princeton Review's list of top ten party schools since 2012. Did they make this list?

When Niche.com put together their list of the “Top Party Schools in New York” they looked at factors like student surveys about a school’s party scene that they conducted themselves, access to bars, the school’s athletics grade, the school’s Greek life grade and access to restaurants.

Started in 2002, Niche provides comprehensive reviews and information for colleges on pretty much anything you’d want to search. They used student reviews and other data to pull this together, so we’re standing by it.

Niche asked attendees of colleges how they felt about the nightlife to help determine the ranking. It also included students' access to bars, the athletics grade, the Greek life grade, and access to restaurants."

Upstate made a big showing for 2024. Apparently there are lots of parties ranging from the shores of Lake Ontario to the Capital Region, all the way to the North Country, and of course here in Central New York. New York’s number one party school also cracks the United States’ top ten.
