Saturday, October 11 – Trunk or Treat at The Old Stone Fort (Schoharie County)

Step back into history while the kids score candy. Hosted at the Old Stone Fort Museum, this one blends Halloween fun with local history. Event Info

Awaken Church Trunk or Treat

Kick off the Halloween fun on Friday, October 17th from 6–8 PM at Awaken Church, located at 5526 Rome Taberg Road (corner of Tannery & Route 69). This family-friendly event is free and open to all ages.

Saturday, October 18 – Community-Wide Trunk or Treat at The Grand of Utica

Saturday, October 18 – Trunk or Treat PY (Penn Yan, Yates County)

The Downtown Business Council turns the Finger Lakes into Halloween central. Event Info

Trick-or-Treat With Animals Here In Central New York

The Utica Zoo’s Spooktacular Harvest Festival returns October 18 and 19, transforming the zoo into a family-friendly Halloween wonderland with trick-or-treat stations, live entertainment, food trucks, and plenty of seasonal fun. For just $5 added to regular admission, families can enjoy candy stops, giveaways, costumes, and photo ops, along with free shuttle parking and extended zoo hours until 4:30 p.m. It’s the perfect mix of festive fall activities and animal exhibits, making this Halloween event one you won’t want to miss.

Rome Health Trick or Treat Event

Stop by Rome Health on Thursday, October 23rd from 5–7 PM for candy, juice, and treats! The event takes place at 1614 N. James Street in Rome—please use the main parking lot for entry.

Friday, October 24 – Trunk or Treat at Clifton Common (Clifton Park)

The Capital Region gets in on the fun with decorated cars and lots of candy. Event Info

Friday, October 24 – Junior League of Elmira Corning Trunk or Treat

Head to Elmira for a Southern Tier tradition of costumes and candy in a safe, family-friendly space. Event Info

Rome Police Department Trick or Treat Night

Meet local officers and grab some sweets on Thursday, October 23rd from 5–7 PM at the Rome Police Department, 301 N. James Street. It’s a great way for kids to enjoy Halloween safely while connecting with community heroes.

 

Trunk or Treat at Den Kelly Chevrolet GMC in Hamilton

Den Kelly Chevrolet GMC is hosting a fun-filled Trunk or Treat event on Friday, October 24th from 5–7 PM in Hamilton, NY. Families are invited to stop by for an evening of candy, costumes, and creative car displays.

If you’d like to join the fun, you can sign up to host your own trunk or car for free—or, if you’d rather use one of the dealership’s vehicles, a $20 donation lets you decorate one of theirs. All proceeds benefit Breast Cancer Research, making this a Halloween celebration with heart.

South Rome Trunk or Treat

Saturday, October 25th is the night for South Rome’s annual Trunk or Treat! The fun starts at 6 PM at Transfiguration Church, 111 Ridge Street. (Note: this is a new location for 2025.)

James Mitsubishi Trunk or Treat

Rev up your Halloween fun at James Mitsubishi on Saturday, October 25th from 4–7 PM! Enjoy decorated car trunks, treats, and family fun at 1925 Black River Blvd, Rome.

Taberg Fireman’s Field Trunk or Treat

On Saturday, October 25th, from 5–9 PM, head to Taberg Fireman’s Field (4121 NY-69) for their community Trunk or Treat event—complete with candy, spooky decorations, and a great local crowd.

Saturday, October 25 – South Rome Trunk or Treat (6–8 PM)

This one draws hundreds of families each year, and registration for trunks fills up fast. Join the Facebook group to keep up with new themes.

Saturday, October 25 – James Cars of Rome Trunk or Treat

Now in its 3rd year, this Rome event includes candy, costumes, a prize for best costume, and even a food truck.

Saturday, October 25 – Trunk or Treat at Long Point State Park (Chautauqua County)

Take the kids to the park for a Western NY Halloween celebration. Event Info

Saturday, October 25 – Trunk or Treat at Varin Enterprises / Supply Wagon Rentals (Johnstown)

The Fulton Montgomery Chamber helps host this family-friendly night. Event Info

Saturday, October 25 – Trunk-or-Treat at Up Yonda Farm (Bolton Landing)

The Adirondacks get spooky with decorated trunks and Halloween treats. Event Info

Saturday, October 25 – Trunk-or-Treat in Bath (Steuben County)

The Central Steuben Chamber helps bring this to life, with multiple local organizations hosting. Event Info

Sunday, October 26 – Schuyler Volunteer Fire Company Trunk or Treat (6–8 PM)

This is their 2nd annual, hosted at 120 Newport Road in Utica. Anyone can set up a vehicle and hand out candy.

Sunday, October 26 – American Legion Post 348 Trunk or Treat (3–6 PM)

Kids get candy plus free hot dogs and juice at this family-friendly Rome tradition.

Wednesday, October 29 – Trunk or Treat at 801 North James Street, Rome (4:30–6:30 PM)

A midweek stop for tricks, treats, and a little extra sugar rush.

The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing Center Trick or Treat

Bring the kids for some sweet fun on Wednesday, October 29th from 4:30–6:30 PM at The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at Rome, 801 N. James Street. Costumes are encouraged!

Spooky Walk at Colonial Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center

Also on Wednesday, October 29th, from 5–7 PM, Colonial Park hosts a “Spooky Walk” with treats for the little ones. Located at 950 Floyd Ave, Rome.

MVCC Trick or Treat Street

Rome’s MVCC campus will host a campus-wide Trick or Treat Street on Thursday, October 30th from 4–6 PM. Families can stop by 1101 Floyd Ave in Rome for candy, costumes, and campus fun.

Friday, October 31 – Trunk or Treat & Halloween Party (Ilion, NY)

Kick off Halloween night with a Trunk or Treat starting at 6:30PM (setup at 6PM for those handing out candy), followed by a party at 7PM. Hosted by the Cedarville Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary at 960 State Route 51 in Ilion.
