Buying a new car this time was easy, fun and stress free. It took less than a hour and I'm so excited. I have always bought vehicles for the size of my family. Vehicles to handle numerous car seats. Minivans for car pooling to dance, soccer, basketball and let's not forget football.

Now that the kids are in college and have their own cars it's finally time to get something that's suited for me and big enough for my very tall husband. I don't think I'll be letting my loving maniac drive her very often. His vehicles scream for mercy on a daily basis.

I love my new car already. I actually named her 'Ruby'. I've never named a car before or been this excited on my purchase. It was always just something that needed to be done. The bigger the kids got the bigger the vehicle.

Here's the problem. I'm feeling guilty and a little sad to be parting ways with the jeep (I never named her). So many memories. So many good times and horrible emotional bad times. In the end she got me through everything and to where I am today. As long as I put gas in her, changed the oil, and gave her the occasional bath she was happy. She didn't give me much trouble.

My kids were awful to her. Shelby locked the keys in her and then scratched her badly and ripped the window seal to get in with a coat hanger. She started leaking when it rained (she was probably crying). Shane left a lot of food wrappers and garbage in her. He made her carry around stinky boys and played head banging music way to loud.

My dog Bella was the worst. Bella just looks at her and throws up. She threw up in the front seat, back seat, in a crate, out of a crate, windows up, windows down, on medicine, without medicine, in a thunder jacket, without a thunder jacket, to the groomers and all the way home.

It's sad I'm getting rid of her. Just because she's old and has too many miles on her I'm trading her in. That's not very nice of me. Nobody wants that to happen to them. I hope she gets a good home. Do you think the car dealer will let me have visitation?
