Is August too soon to start serving the Fall drink?

Looks like McDonald's will beat Starbucks to the punch this month by rolling out Pumpkin Spiced Lattes in August. Business Insider says the creator of the original Pumpkin Spice Latte, Starbucks, begins serving the beverage in the first week or two of September.

Last year Utica was one of the select McDonald's locations that served the Pumpkin Spiced lattes. This year all McDonald locations will be serving up the fall treat starting August 31 and continue through the holidays.

What is a Pumpkin Spiced Latte? Well, a McDonald's spokesman told Fortune Magazine: "The Pumpkin Spiced Latte is made with hints of pumpkin and cinnamon flavors, consists of espresso made with 100% Arabica beans and steamed with whole or non-fat milk."

Here's the thing. It's not Fall. This is a fall beverage. Fall I say. Is August 31 too soon? Take our poll and let us know what you think!

Don't get us wrong we love Pumpkin Spiced Lattes but for some reason, we pair it with chilly weather, apple picking, and maybe some football or soccer games. You know Fall activities.
