Would you allow your child, family member or student to refuse to stand during the National Anthem?

It's an exciting time of year for football fans in Central New York. 'Friday Night Lights' is going strong in just about every community. With the world watching San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick (and others) refusing to stand during the national anthem, we wonder what you think.

Here the Seattle Seahawks are seen together during the playing of the National Anthem before the start of an NFL game against the Miami Dolphins, September 11, 2016.

Other players have joined the protest by kneeling or raising their fists during the playing of the national anthem before their games.

  • Colin Kaepernick and Eric Reid, 49ers
  • Kenny Britt and Robert Quinn, Rams
  • Antoine Bethea and Eli Harold, 49ers
  • Brandon Marshall, Broncos
  • Jelani Jenkins, Arian Foster, Michael Thomas, and Kenny Stills, Dolphins
  • Jurrell Casey, Jason McCourty, Wesley Woodyard, Titans
  • Martellus Bennet and Devin McCourty, Patriots
  • Marcus Peters, Chiefs
  • Jeremy Lane, Seahawks

I grew up in a military family, and this is disappointing.
