Investigation Into Rome Homicide Continues
The investigation into the death of 32-year old Kerrilee D'Avolio of Rome is continuing.
Rome Police say they've been working closely with the Onondaga County Medical Examiner's Office in an effort to achieve a complete and thorough investigation.
Rome PD Lt. James Boyer says there are additional investigative measures that need to be completed before a preliminary autopsy report can be submitted.
He says they expect to receive that preliminary report on Monday, August 5th at the earliest.
Kerrliee's husband, Jason D'Avolio, has only been charged with concealment of a human corpse.
Police anticipate more charges following the autopsy results.
Jason D'Avolio is claiming his wife committed suicide and that he disposed of her body. Oneida County District Attorney Scott McNamara says Jason D'Avolio's story is suspect.
Kerrilee's remains were found in the Ava landfill earlier this week.
