Information Wanted For Old ‘You Are Utica’ TV Commercial

The Oneida County History Center has posted the old classic "You Are Utica" TV commercial, and they're asking for information about it. Can you help?

Does anyone know what year this commercial was filmed? We think the 80's, but can't be sure. Do you remember family members talking about it or maybe being featured being in it? Remember watching it even humming along, or singing to it?

Highlights from the commercial include:

• Utica Club Trolley
• Munson Williams sidewalk art show
• Utica Zoo
• The Aud
• Boilermaker Party at FX Matt Brewery
• Ray Charles at the Stanley Theater
• Valley View Golf Course
• Downtown Utica

Was the TV commercial simply recruiting people to move here? If so then it would have also run outside of CNY right?

Oneida County History Center post says "Utica has had many nicknames and slogans from “Utica, the Pent-up City” in the early 19th century to “Sin City” in the 1950s and Mayor Hanna’s “The Handshake City” in the 1970s."
