Hinkley Reservoir To Increase Discharge Ahead Of Projected Flooding

The Canal Corporation has directed the New York Power Authority to increase releases from Hinckley Reservoir to a maximum discharge rate of +/- 3,100 cubic feet per second (cfs) beginning immediately in order to increase storage in the reservoir in advance of flooding predicted by the National Weather Service.

This increased release rate of +/- 3,100 cfs from Hinckley Reservoir will continue until further notice
