How should child molesters be punished?

On Nov. 24, New York State Police and U.S. Homeland Security arrested Mark S. Cuppernell and Anthony W. Allen Jr. of Brattleboro, Vermont as a result of an online enticement investigation. The men reportedly traveled to New York to meet an underage male juvenile who they had been engaging in illicit communication via text, chat, and photos on social media.

Is hideous is a strong enough word to describe predators like this? What kind of punishment should child molesters receive?

I can't help but wonder about the parents of this young boy? Did they have any idea this was going on? It's awful that horrific acts against innocent children are still happening. I'll bet hard-working people like you and I paid for their car, gas, computer and cell phone for them to hurt children.

These particular suspects were each charged with use of a child in a sexual performance, disseminating indecent material 1st degree and endangering the welfare of a child.  They were sent to the Jefferson County Public Safety Building on $20,000 cash/$40,000 bond and will re-appear in court Wed. Nov. 29, 2017.
