The U.S. Geological Survey reports a 3.1-magnitude earthquake rocked South Glens Falls early this morning, 3/11/2020.

The U.S. Geological Survey reports the earthquake was about 8.2 miles deep and occurred at 6:43 am. The tremor was over in seconds but was felt in Fulton, Montgomery, and Schenectady counties.

WKTV reported people in Little Falls, and Sailsbury felt the shaking. We received reports from those in Poland and others in Oneida County that noticed a rattling.

The Saratoga County Sheriff’s office took “several hundred” reports as residents called 911 to report what they felt. The sheriff’s office wrote on Facebook to report no injuries or damage known by about 7:15 a.m...They also took so many calls that they took to Facebook within minutes to acknowledge the apparent quake and ask that residents only call 911 if they require emergency assistance.
