The snow in central New York is nowhere near gone, so if you want to plunge headfirst into the winter spirit, here's a neat way to do it.

Kids ages 8-15 can get crafty this week at the Utica Public Library with this snow globe-making session. They will be able to create their own snowy setting within the globe and take home a "cool" souvenir of what life is like during a central New York winter.

This year's session is January 4 from 2:30 to 3:15 p.m. You can find details on this event and other upcoming crafting events at the Utica Public Library on their website.
