I already did my my taxes this year and my tax prep fees were over $80, as they are every year for me. However, if you haven't done your taxes yet, there might be some options available to you in NY to prepare and e-file your taxes for free online. Here's what seems to be two of the general requirements amongst many of the tax software companies like even TurboTax and H&R Block:

• Made < $66k AGI and were active duty military, -OR-
• Eligible for the EIC
