Fort Rickey in Rome is a great place for your kids to learn about animals during their summer break. It's one of the rare zoos that let children interact with the animals.

Fort Rickey Children's Discovery Zoo features animals from all across the globe, including North America, Asia, Africa, and nearly every other corner of the world. They have several chances throughout each day for children to be able to learn about and interact with these animals, including a petting zoo, a snake petting, otter feeding, and so much more!

Fort Rickey is now open from 10 am to 5 pm Monday through Saturday and the admission charge is so small, you'd be insane not to check it out yourself! It's a great place that's fun for both the young and the young at heart.

Children under two can get in for free, and now through September 11th, children between the age of 2 and 15 can also get in for free! Just visit their website and print off the coupon available, or show them on your smartphone when you get there. Limit one child per adult.
