Fall is kind of officially upon us. It officially starts on September 22, 2022. But for many of us Western New Yorkers, the start of school and Labor Day weekend mark the beginning of autumn. 1. Gasport, NY

Becker Farms Free Fire Fridays are free to attend every Friday through September 30th from 7 pm to 10 pm. You can purchase smores kits in the Brewpub. Admission to Becker Farms is free Monday through Friday.

On Saturdays, starting at 10 am, Becker Farms hosts Fall Fun On The Farm. It's the perfect way to spend the day enjoying autumn in WNY. Tickets include picking apples, live music, a playground, a mega slide, a corn maze, a petting zoo, a rope maze, and more fun activities. Your ticket will also cover parking, as well as access to the Garden Market, Beer Garden, Brew Pub, and Apple Barn.

Knox Farms is the perfect place to spend a Saturday or Sunday enjoying a picnic or walk in the cooler weather. Grab your sweater, pick up some fall snacks and enjoy the day on the property.

Knox Farm State Park is the former country estate of Buffalo's renowned Knox Family. It is located adjacent to the historic village of East Aurora, birthplace of the Roycroft Arts & Crafts movement and former home of Millard Fillmore. The park's 633 acres are comprised of a variety of habitats, including 400 acres of grasslands (pastures and hayfields), and 100 acres of woodlands, ponds and several wetland areas.

3. Niagara County, NY

The Niagara Wine Trail includes 14 wineries. While there is no actual train or another type of vehicle that takes you from winery to winery, it's a great opportunity to enjoy WNY wines. The trail is hosting a Harvest Festival on September 24 and 25. Let me tell you, a day spent drinking wine with no judgment sounds like Heaven to me lol.

Enjoy a sample of a harvest-themed appetizer, salad, soup, side dish, or dessert with your wine pairing at each participating member winery.

4. Akron, NY

Akron Farms offers pumpkin picking, hay rides, a corn maze, pony rides, and more. It opens on September 24 and is open each Saturday, Sunday, and Columbus Day from 10 am to 5:30 pm.

5. Clarence, NY

The Great Pumpkin Farm hosts its Fall Festival from September 17 through October 31 from 10 am to 7 pm each day. Tickets aren't required on weekdays, except Columbus Day. Weekend activities at the Great Pumpkin Farm include a 5-acre corn maze, a zombie paintball train, jumping pillows, apple cannons, a boo barn, and more.

6. Ellicottville, NY
