We're expecting freezing rain again in the forecast. Stay safe on the roads and please don't tailgate.

The National Weather Service in Binghamton has issued a freezing rain advisory for Tuesday, January 17 from 6 am until 10 pm. With the last ice storm fresh in our mind and the treacherous morning commute, we're pleading with reckless drivers to not put us at risk for an accident.

What you have going on in your life is important but keep the precious cargo in front of you in mind. It could be a mom with her kids in a minivan. An elderly man in a pickup truck is someone's parent or grandparent. That cute girl in the little car could be someone's girlfriend and daughter.

We know you're important and what you have going on is all that matters to you, but please don't put us in danger because of your self-centeredness. Please remember that we're driving slow so we can stop if we have too. It's called self-preservation. We're not driving slow to make you angry or throw you into a fit of road rage. We're sorry you're not blessed with that trait, but we are, and there's nothing we can do about it.

If we ALL drive slower, take extra time to get where we're going, we'll all get there safer.
