A father driving from Texas to Tennessee with his family got a nasty surprise when he stopped at a gas station for food and to fill up the tank: his wife accidentally drove off without him.

WBIR-TV reports the man -- who didn't want to give his name -- tried to contact his wife and anyone else in the car, but he left his own phone on the charger in his minivan. "Six different cellphones and nobody answers," the dad told WBIR. "So I started imagining the worst-case possible scenarios. So I called the cops."
Eventually, the disregarded dad got through to someone on Facebook, who was able to get in touch with his wife -- who was 100 miles away by that point. Apparently, his wife thought her hubby was sleeping in the back of the vehicle, and didn't bother to check before she hit the road.
