After a three year hiatus, a classic amphitheater is re-opening to concerts with two tribute bands that are signed to kick off the summer in May.

First out of the chute is "Get The Led Out", a Led Zeppelin Tribute Band rocks the island on Saturday, May 19th, show is 5p to 11p.

"The Dark Star Orchestra" a Grateful Dead Tribute Band Rocks the Paper Mill Island on Sunday, May 20th, gates open 5p show at 6 pm.

The Paper Mill Island has been quiet for the past two summers and the Town of Baldwinsville hopes this lights the way for a busy musical summer in 2018.

National acts used to frequent Lock 24 better known as Paper Mill Island up until a couple of years ago. The town had put a noise restriction in place and made it difficult for the bands to play so they could be heard.

Now the Town is working with an outside promoter and made some changes to the music and noise restriction and hopefully everything will workout for the island and the town. The plan is to try two concerts and take everything one step at a time so more concerts can be planned in the near future.

Everything pretty much hinges on the results of the two concerts in May.
