Comets Close Out Regular Season With Win
Once again it took an overtime to get the win but the Comets pulled it off once again. Mandat put the Devils up 1 - 0 with a shot that barely made through Demko just four minutes into the game Dahlen tied the game just two minutes later by putting a shot past the Devils goalie Cam Johnson, the Devils weren't going quietly and regained the lead with a shot from Nick Lappin with 9:35 remaining in the first period. Patrick Wiercioch tied the game at 18:14 left in the first period.
It took the Comets five minutes into the second period to get the lead back by Michael Chaput.
The Devils Cangelosi tied the game at three on a shorthanded goal four and a half minutes into the third period. Both goalies remained perfect from that point and sent the game into OT. Lukas Jasek had the winning goal with just 1:31 left in the overtime and take the win and send the Devils packing.
The Comets are back in action Saturday afternoon for game one of the First Round of the Calder Cup Playoffs against the Toronto Marlies Ricoh Coliseum puck drops 4pm
Game Two: Sunday, April 22nd at the Adirondack Bank Center puck drops 4 pm
Game Three: Wednesday, April 25th at the Adirondack Bank Center, puck drops 7 pm
Game Four: Friday, April 27th at the Adirondack Bank Center puck drops at 7 pm
Game Five: Sunday, April 29th at the Ricoh Coliseum puck drops at 4 pm
