Congratulations to Clinton High School

The school has been named one of the best in the country. According to cnyhomepage.com, on Thursday (9/28), the district found out that Clinton High School is one of only 350 schools in the nation to receive a Blue Ribbon Award.

The National Blue Ribbon Award recognizes public and private elementary, middle and high schools for their academic excellence. The award has been handed out to more than 8,500 schools across the country since 1982. To receive the prestigious award in New York State, you must be in the top 15% for academic performance in English and Math and have a graduation rate of at least 15%.

Clinton Schools Superintendent Dr. Steve Grimm says the principal, some teachers and staff will go to Washington, DC in early November to receive the award.

This isn't the first time Clinton has received the award. In the 89-90 school year, the district received their first Blue Ribbon Award.
