Ugh!  I always cringe when I read stories like this.  I am thinking that one of these days, this could happen to me.  It could.  This really makes you want to inspect your food with a fine tooth comb before you eat it.  Let me put it this way, if this did happen to me, I guarantee I would make anyone who happens to be near me, sick as well, if you know what I mean.  A woman in Brevard County, Florida found a bite of comfort food anything but on last week, when she chomped into a dime-sized spider.

WFTV reports Victoria Harrah has eaten Chef Boyardee ravioli for the past 30 years, so she was quick to notice when something was off. "I took my ravioli, dunked it in the sauce and all of a sudden, when I bit into it, it was crunchy," she said. "Once I spit it out, I saw the legs...I started screaming, throwing up, saying to my fiance, 'Oh my God, Oh my God, I just ate a spider!'"

After calling Chef Boyardee's customer service line, she was told that "they've had cases in the past where meat looks like a spider, but it's not really a spider." Eventually, the food company agreed to fly a representative to Florida to inspect the can.

Harrah told WFTV she does not want any damages, but is seeking to be compensated for the cans of ravioli she bought -- and to learn what kind of spider it was she almost scarfed down.
