Central New York Man Wins Publishers Clearing House Bundle

A Fabius veterinarian, Kenneth Dodge, just won $10,000 from Publishers Clearinghouse. But he wasn't AT his house when the PCH folks showed up with the giant check.

Mrs. Dodge had to direct the prize bearers to her husband's place of employment, the Town and Country Hospital for Pets on South Salina Street in downtown Syracuse. That's where the 36-year veteran veterinarian received his big check. He said he'd been entering the sweepstakes for about five years and intends to pay off some bills with at least some of his winnings.

Commenters in the Syracuse.com story about Mr. Dodge expressed happiness for his victory and praise for his longtime quality and caring service as a vet.

It's estimated his $10,000 payday will net him around $6,000 after taxes.
