Boilermaker officials are unveiling new mile marker signs.

The first sign has been installed on Culver Avenue at mile one of the 15K race.

Boilermaker President Mark Donovan says the newly redesigned mile markers will replace the nearly 20-year old signs that dot the race course.

Donovan says the mile markers were made by Personal Graphics of Westmoreland, which did the original signs 17 years ago.

The remaining eight mile markers will be put up in the next couple of weeks.

The 42nd running of the Boilermaker will take place on Sunday, July 14th.
