Online coupons are circulating that offer a $100 discount at area ALDI stores.  However, the coupons are not real and if you to download them, your could expose your smartphone or computer to a virus.

According to a report on wsyrtv.com, the fake coupons have the ALDI logo, and have appeared on Facebook.  The grocery store has been hit by similar scams in the past, and ALDI has told its customers that they never issue electronic coupons or gift cards.

ALDI has stores on Oriskany Boulevard in Yorkville, Seneca Turnpike in New Hartford, Central Ave in Ilion and on Madison Street in Rome.  There seem to be many local scams going on this year.  We're told to be sure that coupon offers are legit before clicking onto the link.
