Bark For Life of Greater Utica Is May 11th
The American Cancer Society’s Bark For Life of Greater Utica, presented by the Staffworks Fund, at Mohawk Valley Community College on May 11th.
Join us as we come together to honor and celebrate the lifelong contributions of canine caregivers to cancer patients. Participants can pre-register their dog for $15 each through the event website or register at noon Saturday, May 11 for $20 per dog. The half-mile non-competitive walk starts promptly at 1 and includes the popular Bark For Life bandanna for your dog.
The celebration will include games, demonstrations, and contests throughout the event. Celebrity judges will be on hand to crown one lucky canine “best dressed,” so bring your dog’s favorite outfit or costume.
“Bark For Life is a great way to pay tribute to our four-legged family members and all they do for us in the fight against cancer,” said Sheri Thrasher, volunteer chair of Bark For Life of Greater Utica. “It gives us the chance to honor survivors, remember those lost, and those who are still fighting, whether they are friends, family, or pets.”
