The ShoppingTown Mall in Dewitt is losing one of its biggest stores. The shopping mall that has struggled since the opening of Destiny USA is said to lose their JC Penney store on April 8th according to employees there.

According to Syracuse.com,

Moonbeam Capital Investments LLC, which owns the mall, said they had heard the retail giant was closing the DeWitt store, but were waiting for official confirmation.

The only remaining big store in that mall after JC Penney leaves will be Sears. It's been a rough couple years for malls in general, especially with the popularity of online shopping.
