Adorable Syracuse Leopard Cubs Now Have Names

Get ready for your heart to explode from cuteness overload. The new leopard cubs at the Rosamond Gifford Zoo are not only out on exhibit,  but they also have names!

The cubs, named Milo and Mina, were named after two small New York towns. Keepers originally suggested four names for each that went with the zoo's 2019 I Love New York theme, and 1,140 ballots came in to name these adorable fur-babies. Milo is a town in Yates County and Mina, prounounced "MY-nuh," is a town in Chautauqua County.

You may remember the cubs from earlier this month, when the Syracuse zoo announced their arrival with their first public appearance.

Since then, they've been on exhibit, although, as the zoo explained in a Facebook comment, "like all babies, they do conk out at times."

I've said it once and I'll say it again: I'm OBSESSED. You can head to the Rosamond Gifford Zoo in Syracuse to visit Milo and Mina, who, as Amur Leopard cubs, are part of the most endangered species of big cats.
