Accident on New York State Thruway Closes Lanes

A multi-car accident on the New York state thruway has closed all lanes. Traffic is being rerouted as authorities work to clean up the mess.

The crash, between the exit 34 and 34A westbound, is forcing all traffic to exit at Exit 34 in Canastota.

Severe weather in the area is being blamed on the crash that involves a dozen vehicles.

Tandem operators are advised to break up their trailers prior to Exit 32 in Westmoreland.

Motorists should plan for extended delays or seek alternate routes.
