8 CNY Schools Recognized For Their Outstanding Music Program
NAMM has recognized 8 CNY schools for their support and commitment to music education.
The NAMM Foundation's Best Communities for Music Education (BCME) is a signature program that recognizes and celebrates schools for their support and commitment to music education and efforts to assure access to music for all students as part of a well-rounded education.
The NAMM site states: Early Childhood is a critical time to support children's natural desire to sing, move and play with sound. Furthermore, research shows that music and music experiences support the formation of important brain connections that are being established over the first three years of life.
The districts receiving recognition for demonstrating outstanding achievement in efforts to provide music access and education to all students include:
- Rome
- VVS
- New Hartford
- Little Falls
- Holland Patent
- Cooperstown
- Camden
- Oneida
Congratulations! Keep up the good work!
