When we purchased our 1st Silverado, my husband and I thought the rear view vision camera would be a feature we would never use. We were very very wrong.

As part of the Carbone Commute, I share all the things I love about my Silverado. You hear me talk about it every day. This month, let's get a good laugh at the fact that Douglas and I though we wouldn't use the backup camera. Lol. We use it constantly for backing up, hooking up the trailer, parking and so much more. By 2018 a backup camera system will be mandatory in all vehicles leased or sold in the United States. It's part of the 2007 Driving Safety Act with the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration.

When we're not backing up the monitor turns into everything we need to stay connected. Access to the radio, our smartphone, navigation, even some apps. Let's just say we're happy we have the rear view vision camera.
