Tumbledown Trails Golf Course 9/11 Discount Promotion Is Bad
It seems like for some reason 9/11 brings out the worst in certain businesses. Each year we hear about sour sales gimmicks dealing with such a bad day for our nation. This year, the Tumbledown Trails Golf Course takes the cake.
According to DeadSpin, the golf course had a coupon with the following offer:
"To Commemorate this (the 12th anniversary of 9-11) we are offering 9 holes with cart for only $9.11 per person or 18 holes with cart for only $19.11! 9/11/13 Only!"
Why in the world would they have thought this was a great idea? As you can imagine, things ended poorly for this promotion already.
