Chittenango Falls State Park: Less than an hour from the Utica/Rome area, there's Chittenango Falls. It's a 193-acre state park located in Madison County, NY. The park's main attraction is a 167- foot waterfall.

Sylvan Beach:  Within a very short driving distance is Sylvan Beach, NY. You can't get more romantic than a walk along the beach during sunset.

Canandaigua Lake: Just under 2 hours from here is Canandaigua Lake in New York's Finger Lakes region. You'll find a beautiful view and peaceful setting of the lake as you stroll along Canandaigua Pier.

Tibbetts Point Lighthouse: Just a little over 2 hours north of the Mohawk Valley is Tibbetts Point Lighthouse in Cape Vincent, NY. It was built in 1827 and marks the point where Lake Ontario meets the St. Lawrence River.

Adirondack Balloon Flights: Located in Queensbury, NY (Glens Falls area) is Adirondack Balloon Flights. The approximate one hour hot air balloon ride will take you over the scenic Adirondack countryside.

Saratoga Horse & Carriage: About 115 miles east of the Utica/Rome area in New York's Capital District is Cambridge. Cambridge is the home of Saratoga Horse and Carriage. They have beautifully restored Victorian carriages drawn by black and white Percheron horses.
